The Musketeers’ motto represents very much the spirit that animates our Community. Read on if you want to know how we’re putting these famous words into practice.

What’s The H4HBBO (Help-4-Home Based Business Owners) Community?

First, let’s see what the unabridged online dictionary says about the word COMMUNITY:

com·mu·ni·ty [kuh-myoo-ni-tee]

• a social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government, and often have a common cultural and historical heritage.
• a social, religious, occupational, or other group sharing common characteristics or interests and perceived or perceiving itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it exists (usually preceded by the): the business community; the community of scholars.
• joint possession, enjoyment, liability, etc.: community of property.
• similar character; agreement; identity: community of interests.

Now let’s use all that information to define what WE mean by "community":

A social and business group whose members often visit and congregate in a specific ‘local’—aka The Internet—who share common characteristics or interests and who perceive themselves as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which they exist (i.e. you’re a MLMer, or a home based business owner, or a solopreneur, or an internet marketer, which is a very small percentage of the general population), and who obviously have a lot of interests in common, mainly learning how to achieve more BUSINESS SUCCESS!

Why is it called The H4HBBO Community?

Let’s break it down word by word:

HELP: We think of Zig Ziglar as the ‘spiritual’ leader of our community. The reason for this is that he’s the one who coined the famous statement

“You can get everything in life you want if you just help enough other people get what they want.”

We think the key word in that sentence is HELP. That’s the word that’s at the root of our decision to invest a considerable amount of time, money, brain cells and other resources into designing, building, maintaining and growing this website.

There are thousands of home business opportunities out there, with many more being added daily. There are hundreds of thousands of Home Based Business Owners out there who are in serious need of HELP to grow their dream business, but who don’t know how to do it, and where to go for HELP. The main purpose of this community—and this website—is to HELP these people out.

4: Obviously stands for the word ‘for’... But there’s more to it than that.

There are really 4 groups of people who will form this community and help it grow and thrive by participating in the helping process. They are:

• The Members—that’s you
• Your Hosts—Daniel & Laurel
• The Partners—those are the people whose products and services will be promoted on this website.
• The Experts—all those who submit articles, eReports, teleclass or webinar recordings, blog postings or anything else that will show one, or a hundred, or a thousand members how to achieve more BUSINESS SUCCESS faster. Some of these experts will be our partners, ourselves, and each and everyone of you who will contribute a blog posting, a comment, a suggestion, an article or anything that you (and we) feel could help out someone in the community. Translation: anyone connected to this community has a chance to be an EXPERT in the eyes of the other members.

HBBO: Home Based Business Owners. That’s anyone who owns and operates a business based at home, be it a MLM, network marketing or direct sales opportunity, a "home-party" type of business (like Weekender, Pampered Chef, etc.), an internet marketing business, or any ‘solopreneur’ business (consultant, author, speaker, webmaster, graphic designer, personal/business coach, etc.)

The bottom line is this: though we’ve designed it, we host it and manage it, this website is not entirely our site. It’s really YOUR site and it will grow and thrive in proportion to your involvement in it.

So please join our community, and be an active part of it by helping us help one and all to the best of our collective abilities and resources.
