After showing her where we kept the supplies, I went about my business of checking the price tags on all 25 paintings being exhibited. When I returned to the kitchen about 15 minutes later, I took a look at Lucia’s transparent pot of coffee and went "What the heck is that?"

"Coffee...?" she answered sheepishly.

"I don’t think so" I replied. "How did you prepare it?" I asked, trying hard not to burst out laughing.

"Well, I put in 12 cups of water, and two scoops of that coffee..."

"That’s the recipe for cricket pee..." I answered (that’s what my store manager called coffee that looked like colored water—like the one Lucia had just made). "Dump that stuff, put in the 12 cups of water, and 8 heaping spoons of coffee. That’ll keep the visitors awake."
